It’s all systems go for Casey Dellacqua with her French Open campaign getting underway tonight.
The 30 year old has shrugged off concerns over a foot injury and will open her campaign against fellow Australian Ajla Tomljanovic.
It has been a week of rehab and load management for the left hander since withdrawing from her first round match against Victoria Azarenka at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia Tournament in Rome.
Tomljanovic has been in excellent form of late with a quarter final loss to eventual winner Sam Stosur in Strasbourg last week.
Dellacqua’s best results at Roland Garros have come in doubles where she was a finalist in 2008, and won the mixed doubles title in 2011.
In singles she made the third round in 2008 and the second round last year.
The West Australian is first up on Court 8 at 11am Paris time today (7pm AEST).
