Emageo Group is delighted to announce exciting pole vaulter Nina Kennedy has joined the Team.
Kennedy, who stormed to global prominence at just 17 when she broke the junior world record in 2015, looms as major prospect for Australia ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The now 22-year-old won hearts around the nation last year when she jumped to a bronze medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, holding her nerve on the biggest stage of her career amidst a stacked field.
Kennedy’s 2019 has been derailed by a series of injuries but the charismatic West Australian is back in great shape and eyeing a maiden Olympics next year in Japan.
Kennedy sits third on the all-time list of Australian women’s pole vaulters, with a previous member of the Emageo Family in Alana Boyd still the record holder.
Emageo Group Managing Director Sam Maxwell was thrilled to welcome Kennedy.
“Nina is one of the most exciting athletes in Australia,” Maxwell said.
“Despite still being so young, Nina has already achieved so much in her career and has great potential for growth.
“Nina is a wonderful person and role model and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.”
