Lisa Weightman will tonight represent Australia in London in her second Olympic marathon.
Weightman qualified for the Olympics by running 2:29.23 at the 2011 Frankfurt Marathon and has since been in personal best form.
So far in 2012 Weightman has won the Gold Coast 10km and the National 10km Championships in Launceston, as well as a 7th place finish in the coveted New York City Half Marathon.
Her performance on the Gold Coast was also a new course record and personal best.
Weightman is the reigning Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist and the fifth-fastest Australian all-time over the marathon distance.
The marathon will commence at 8.00pm AEST tonight.
Also competing for Australia in the marathon is Jess Trengove and Benita Willis.
We wish Lisa all the very best for tonight and are behind her for the whole 42.195 kilometres.
