Announced in the elite field for #osakawomensmarathon today. According to my profile I’m 7cm taller and a bit heavier! 🥳 Wish I was 7cm taller as that would be handy indeed! Thank you for having me – we cannot wait! See full details of the amazingly fast women I get to run with on Australia Day in my bio. 38 days to go. #runningmumsaustralia #marathon
The triple Olympian will race among a host of international stars, including Meskerem Assefa and Haftamnesh Tesfay and local hope Kayoko Fukushi.
Weightman fought through illness for a top-10 finish at the Chicago Marathon in October.
Ethiopian Fatuma Sado took out the Osaka Marathon in 2019.
