Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Sam Maxwell Sports Management athlete Rhys Mainstone has taken out the New South Wales Open Water Championships over the weekend.
Mainstone was competing at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith, winning in a time of 1:55:28, one second ahead of Queensland’s Jarrod Poort (1:55:29) and Kiwi training partner Kane Radford (1:55:43).
The Championships doubled as the qualifying swim for the Oceania Open Water Championships to be held at Lake Taupo, New Zealand on 11 & 12 January next year.
