US Open lucky loser Olivia Rogowska headlines the three top-200 players entered in this week’s $25,000 Perth International.
The Victorian is the No.1 seed in what is easily the strongest women’s field since the Australian Pro Tour resumed last month.
Rogowska (ranked 157), American second seed and former top-100 player Irina Falconi (184) and third-seeded Erika Sema (172), of Japan, are the highest ranked players in the draw.
Rogowska faces a potentially difficult first-up match against fellow Victorian Azra Hadzic, who won her maiden senior title at Cairns two Sundays ago.
World No.318 Hadzic was the second seed behind Zlochova in both of the other APT women’s events at Toowoomba and Cairns last month, but is unseeded in Perth.
Rogowska leads Hadzic 3-0 in their head-to-head match-ups.
