Kennedy broke the junior world pole vault record at the same event as a teenager back in 2015 and always relishes jumping in front of her home crowd.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist has been slowly building up after sitting out much of last year with injuries.
Earlier this month Kennedy, 22, claimed the women’s title at the Bunbury Street Pole Vault with a leap of 4.31m.
