Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Matt Ebden has been drawn to play fellow Australian Nick Kyrgios in the opening round of the Brisbane International.
Kyrgios, a wildcard recipient, has enjoyed a break-out year in 2013 that has seen him move to a career high number 177 in the world, capture the Australian Open Boy’s Singles Championship and make his Davis Cup debut.
This first round match is likely to be scheduled for Tuesday 31 December.
Ebden will team with another Australian, Thanasi Kokkinakis, in the men’s doubles, with the pair taking on Jarkko Nieminen and Gilles Simon in the first round.
