Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal

Casey Dellacqua’s impressive 2014 has continued with a come-from-behind victory over world #24 Sabine Lisicki at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, Japan.
Lisicki was a player in-form herself having taken the inaugural WTA Title in Hong Kong last week. After dropping the first set 7-6, Dellacqua was tough when it mattered in the second, breaking the German in the twelfth game to force a decider.
Dellacqua raced to a 3-0 lead before Lisicki called a lengthy medical time out. The break was in vain however, with the Australian closing out the match 6-7 7-5 6-2 to book a spot in the second round where she will play New Zealand qualifier Marina Erakovic.
