Tim David has been signed as a replacement player for the Perth Scorchers this Big Bash League season.
David has been named in the Scorchers’ 13-man squad ahead of their Boxing Day clash with the Sydney Sixers.
David previously played for the Scorchers in 2017-18 season, showcasing his clutch power-hitting with an unbeaten 17 runs from 10 deliveries to secure victory over the Sixers at the WACA Ground.
A foot injury sidelined David during last season’s BBL, but the all-rounder is coming in this time with international experience after his star turn for Singapore during T20 World Cup qualifiers.
The 23-year-old said he was excited to return to the Scorchers.
“I’m really ready to go and I’ve played at that level before so I know what to expect from the competition and my own skill level,” David said.
“I played two years ago but since then I’ve improved so much. I wasn’t really a professional cricketer then but now I have been for a period of time. I think I’m a much better player. I’ve got my eyes set on playing and hopefully being able to perform and go from there.”
