Kiara Bowers is set to take on the reigning AFLW premiers in Mandurah on Saturday after the gun midfielder was named for the pre-season clash.
The reigning Fremantle best and fairest winner has been named in a 24-strong squad to face the Crows at David Grays Arena.
Bowers, who was named by Champion Data this week among the elite players in the competition, is among a host of senior players who come into the squad after sitting out last weekend’s hit-out against West Coast.
The 28-year-old is fit and firing after her first full pre-season at the club.
Dockers AFLW high performance manager Kate Starre said Bowers would be managed.
“I think she will be on limited minutes, only because she doesn’t need to play a full game,” Starre told the Fremantle website.
“We’re still testing players and trying rotations with the younger players and new players.
“So (Bowers playing limited minutes) is not out of injury prevention, it’s just load management and we don’t need her to play a full game (on Saturday).”
