Bosisto brings up double ton
Another feather in the cap for young gun Will Bosisto with the 21 year-old chosen to captain a WA XI against India in two games at the WACA.
Bosisto will lead the WA XI in a T20 game this evening and an ODI tomorrow as India prepare for the One Day International series against Australia.
Bosisto is no stranger to wearing the skipper’s hat having captained the CA XI in this season’s Matador One Day Cup and leading Australia at the U/19 World Cup.
The batting all rounder will lead a largely inexperienced side against a full strength India line up featuring stars MS Dohni and Virat Kohli.
Bosisto is coming off a positive start to 2015-16 at first-class and List A level, including a maiden four-day ton against Victoria.
He’s one of five players on Scorchers’ supplementary list — including Josh Inglis, David Moody, Josh Nicholas and Liam O’Connor.
Following the back-to-back games at the WACA, Bosisto will then fly to Canberra for the Toyota Futures League match at Manuka Oval against a side from the Australian Capital Territory.
“We’re really happy with Will, he’s taken big strides this season,” WA XI coach Geoff Marsh said.
“Nobody has worked harder than he has over the past four of five weeks to get himself ready for not only these games, but the Futures League game in Canberra on Monday.”
