We are happy to announce that Australian Open Water swimmer Rhys Mainstone has partnered with Global Energy Group Asia Pacific for the 2014 season.
“After meeting Rhys I was extremely impressed by his commitment, attitude and desire to succeed within his designated sport,” said David Calder, Regional Director for GEGAP.
“These attributes are shared by our organisation as we strive to deliver continued successes for GEGAP.
“Rhys has an extremely bright future ahead of him in a sport that continues to grow in prominence throughout the world.
We are delighted to be the principal sponsor of an aspirational Western Australian athlete that also aligns with GEGAP vision to invest within the local WA community,” Calder said.
Mainstone will have an ambassadorial role in charity initiatives, community programs and corporate events throughout 2014 as he attempts to qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio De Janiero.
“We wish Rhys every success over the 2014 season and look forward to working closely with him as he aspires to achieve his goal of qualification to compete at the Rio De Janiero 2016 Olympic Games,” Calder said.
GEGAP is an energy sector service group that provides innovative solutions to energy companies and their contracts, and also have an active commitment to invest within local programs in Perth.
Perth Glory defender Scott Jamieson and Olympic javelin thrower Kim Mickle were also endorsed by GEGAP as sponsored athletes at a Gala event held in Perth last night.
