Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Olivia Rogowska’s Roland Garros qualifying campaign has started with an impressive defeat of Ons Jabeur in straight sets.
The 22-year-old Australian out-powered her Tunisian opponent, racing to a 6-2 6-3 win on Court 9.
As the 16th seed in the qualifying draw, Rogowska requires another two victories to ensure passage to the women’s main draw which commences in Paris on Sunday.
Rogowska’s second round qualifying opponent is 198th ranked Olga Savchuk from Ukraine.
