Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Nicole Bolton and Chloe Piparo have put on an 156-run stand to power the WA Women to victory in their WNCL season opener in Brisbane today.
Bolton, who blasted 77 runs off 106 balls and took two sharp catches, was named player of the match in the five-wicket win over Queensland.
The star batter combined brilliantly with skipper Piparo, who was a tower of strength at the top of the order with 76 from 118 balls.
The pair took the game away from Queensland as WA passed the target in just over 43 overs, with five wickets in hand.
Fellow Team Emageo star Emma King earlier helped restrict the home side to just 189 from 47 overs after taking 2-27 from her 10 overs.
