Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Olivia Rogowska has battled hard in her opening Wimbledon qualifying match but ultimately went down in three sets to American Irina Falconi, 2-6 6-1 7-5.
Rogowska came out firing with a double break of serve to claim the first four games of the match. It took her only 29 minutes to close out an impressive first set 6-2.
Falconi, the world No. 173 was visibly more comfortable from the second set onward as she fought her way back in to the match.
The pair traded several breaks of serve in the final set with Rogowska unable to force a match-winning break when leading 5-4. It was the American who got the crucial break at 5 games-all and then closed out the match on serve to advance to the next round.
