Chloe Piparo scored 32 runs and Emma King claimed two crucial wickets in WA’s tough Women’s National Cricket League loss to Tasmania in Melbourne.
With wickets falling around her, WA captain Piparo managed to stick around for 46 balls to give her team some hope of chasing down Tasmania’s 242-run total.
Amy Edgar top-scored for the Fury with 67, with King coming in at the end of the innings for a very handy 27 runs before they ultimately fell well short of the target.
Earlier, King trapped Tasmanian opener Stefanie Daffara LBW and then bowled No.3 Corrine Hall.
