Casey Dellacqua is through to the semi-final of the women’s doubles with Yaroslava Shvedova at the French Open after a straight set victory over Michaella Krajicek and Barbora Strycova.
After a tight opening set, Dellacqua and Shvedova broke in the eighth game to lead 5-3, before Shvedova served out the set.
Down an early break in the second set, the 12th seeds trailed 5-3 before levelling at 5-all.
Dellacqua and Shvedova then broke the Strycova serve, and it was left to the Australian to serve out the match.
The straight sets victory follows commanding wins in the previous three rounds and books a semi-final spot for the Australian and Kazakhstan duo against the winner of Silvia Soler-Espinosa and Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor, or tournament number 2 seeds, Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.
