Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
At the Australian Open draw this morning, Matt Ebden has been drawn to face Frenchman Nicolas Mahut in the first round.
Mahut, who famously featured in the longest match in history against John Isner at Wimbledon a couple of years ago, has a current world ranking of 46.
The pair have met only once before, in 2010, with Mahut winning 6-3, 6-2.
In the Women’s draw, up and coming talent Olivia Rogowska will face Mariana Duque-Marino of Columbia who is currently ranked No. 105 in the world.
Ebden’s match will be played on Monday, with the full schedule still to be released. Rogowska will begin her campaign on Tuesday.
