Will Bosisto

Some cricketers were born with natural talent. Some have a fierce determination to succeed. Will Bosisto has both. Bosisto has impressed in the middle since his schooldays at Scotch College. The batting all-rounder quickly rose through the ranks of junior cricket, representing WA at Under-17 and Under-19 level where he drew comparisons to WA great and now Australian coach Justin Langer.

His impressive resume saw Bosisto given the honour of captaining Australia at the Under-19 World Cup in 2012. Bosisto thrived under the leadership responsibility, with 276 runs from six World Cup innings, including 87 in the final to be named player of the tournament.

Ahead of the 2012-13 domestic season, the teenager earned a rookie contract with the Western Warriors and made his debut in the Ryobi Cup in 2012. Bosisto made his first-class debut for WA in 2013, making his maiden century in 2015 and has played 23 matches, highlighted by a remarkable 167 not out against Queensland at the end of 2018.

Bosisto made his first appearances for the Perth Scorchers in the 2017-18 season and was used as an opener among a variety of roles last summer. Bosisto is now set for a change of scenery in South Australia.
