Olivia Rogowska grew up in Melbourne and began playing tennis at five. Rogowska launched her professional career at just 14, winning her first ITF main draw match the following year and taking out her first professional title at 17.
Rogowska made waves with a stunning upset of top-50 player Maria Kirilenko in the opening round of the French Open in 2009 before the teenager fell just short of the Wimbledon main draw. She then pushed top-seed Dinara Safina to three sets in the first round of the US Open.
Rogowska reached a career-high singles ranking of 102 in 2014.
Based in the United States, Rogowska remains a force on the ITF World Tennis Tour, most recently claiming a title in Canberra in March.
