We take a look at what the Team Emageo Athletes have been up to on the social media front over the last week.
Well the year is drawing near and our tennis stars have finished off strong 2015 campaigns and are now having a short break before a busy Australian Summer.
Let’s start with Matt Ebden who had a fantastic year.
After recovering from an injury riddled 2014, the West Aussie almost cracked back into the top 100.
Bring on 2016 Matty!
And of course, we almost forgot Happy Birthday for yesterday
While we are celebrating things, congrats on three years with your stunning bride.
Enjoy your break, even if it’s only a short one
Moving on, and John Peers had his best year on the doubles circuit, reaching a career high of 7 in the world.
He finished it off with an appearance at the ATP Tour Finals in London.
What was it like? Well check out his final blog.
Due to the finals he was unable to make the John Newcombe Medal night during the week.
He and Casey Dellacqua were two of six finalists for the prestigous Tennis Australia Medal.
Due to injury Casey couldn’t be there either.
They both missed out on the Medal which went to Sam Groth.
Congrats on a big year Sam.
Some big news for Lisa Weightman during the week.
Just the extra bit of motivation she needs as she heads towards the Houston Marathon in January where she will attempt to qualify for Rio 2016.
It looks as though training continues to go from strength to strength
Jason Behrendorff was rested by WA over the past week and the big fella made the most of it.
No doubt a shoe in for a #Perthonality award
From opening night of Lion King …
To catching up with one of WA’s biggest names …
And rounding it out with some courtside seats for the Red Army …
As for the matching outfits ….
We think it might have been laid out on the bed for you mate!
Rhys Mainstone is well and truly in holiday mode.
Although he is always lurking somewhere around the Cottesloe area.
Tough life for some
And finally this weeks “From where you’d rather be”
While it was hard to go past Rhys again, Alex Beck has it pretty nice on the Gold Coast as well.
Short and sharp. That’s it from us this week.
Have a great weekend and we’ll catch you next time.
