Australian Rhys Mainstone has won the sixth and final race of the State New Zealand Ocean Swim Series on Auckland’s North Shore, and in doing so, also claimed the series title.
Mainstone’s victory in the 2.8km State King of the Bays race came in a time of 28:37, fifteen seconds ahead of George O’Brien (28:52) and Dylan Dunlop-Barrett who rounded out the podium (28:57). New Zealand local Kane Radford was fourth in a time of 29:00.
