Olivia Rogowska has won the $50,000 event in Sacramento, California.
As the tournament’s #1 seed, Rogowska overcame American Julia Boserup in the final, 6-2 7-5.
A strong serving performance in the final proved the catalyst for victory, serving 9 aces and no double faults in a commanding display.
Trailing 2-5 in the second set, Rogowska held her nerve on serve before saving a set point and forcing a crucial break. She then reeled off five consecutive games to take the second set and the match.
The title in Sacramento is her second of 2014, following her triumph in Launceston earlier this year.
Rogowska progressed to the final having dropped the opening set in both her quarter final and semi final matches.
The Australian rallied back to defeat sixth seed Sachia Vickery 2-6 7-6(4) 6-4 in the quarter finals before triumphing over third seed and regular training partner, Madison Brengle in the last four.
Rogowska now stays in California to play the $50,000 Carson Classic.
