Olivia Rogowska will play German Kristina Barrois in the first round of qualifying at the US Open.
After peaking at a career high ranking of 102 last week, Rogowska narrowly missed out on qualifying automatically for the final Grand Slam of the year.
Taking the 6th seed position in the qualifying draw, Rogowska will play the 241st ranked German on Wednesday in the first match on Court 6.
The 24 year old from Victoria has enjoyed her most successful year on tour thus far in 2014, claiming titles in Launceston and Sacramento, to go with a second round appearance at the Australian Open and her qualification for the main draws of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the Citi Open in Washington DC.
While it will be the first meeting between the pair, Barrois has previously reached the second round of all four Grand Slams, most recently at the 2011 Australian Open.
Scores and updates from the US Open, featuring Emageo Group Athletes Casey Dellacqua, Matt Ebden and Olivia Rogowska will be posted on our website, Facebook page, and via the Sam Maxwell Sports Management Twitter Account.
