Maltese international Kevin Moore has missed out on semi final qualification in the 400 metres at the Athletics World Championships in Moscow.

Moore competed in the fifth heat and ran 47.52, posting the 28th fastest time and failing to finish inside the top 24 athletes progressing to the semi finals.

Matthew Ebden has gone down to former world number one Lleyton Hewitt in the first round of the ATP Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport.
