Second seed Rogowska advances in Bendigo

Olivia Rogowska mastered the windy conditions and her own nerves to advance to the round of 16 at the second William Loud Bendigo International on Tuesday.

After losing in the first round of the Bendigo International #1 last week, Rogowska bounced back with a 6-4 6-3 first round win over Azra Hadzic.

Matt Ebden wins Melbourne Challenger

Top seed Matt Ebden stood up to his seeding by clinching the Melbourne Park ATP Challenger, defeating sixth-seeded Japanese Tatsuma Ito 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in the final.

Ebden, currently ranked number 109 in the ATP rankings, served nine aces and converted four break points to tame his 191-ranked counterpart in the title-clash that lasted for an hour and 58 minutes.

Rogowska faces tough Bendigo draw

Olivia Rogowska hopes she doesn’t live to regret volunteering to pick the names for the William Loud Bendigo International’s main draw, which starts Tuesday.
