Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Rhys Mainstone has tightened his grip on the overall standings in the State New Zealand Ocean Swim Series with victory at Pilot Bay.
After winning round 4 in Akaroa last month, Mainstone took out round 5 at Pilot Bay, Mt Maunganui this morning in perfect conditions.
Mainstone lead from start to finish and finished 10 seconds ahead of compatriot George O’Brien while New Zealand pair Nathan Capp and Kane Radford finished third and fourth, respectively.
The final race is the King of the Bays on Auckland’s North Shore next month, April 12.
