Emageo Group athletes Casey Dellacqua, Matt Ebden and Olivia Rogowska will be in action on the doubles court on Day 3 of the Australian Open.
Dellacqua, fresh from a comfortable singles victory yesterday, and partner Kimiko Date-Krumm (Japan) are the tournament’s 15th seeds and will line up against the Chinese pairing of Shuai Peng and Yi-Fan Xu.
While Dellacqua and Krumm have played together before on the WTA Tour, it will mark the first time the pair have combined for a Grand Slam, following Dellacqua’s former partner, fellow Australian Ash Barty, taking a break from the game.
In 2013, Dellacqua and Barty made the final of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open and have two doubles titles together.
Ebden, a 2013 Grand Slam Mixed Doubles winner with Jarmila Gajdosova has been granted a wildcard along with fellow Australian Matt Reid, with the pair taking on #14 seeds Dominic Inglot and Florin Mergea in the first match on Court 19.
Meanwhile Rogowska and partner Monique Adamczak, who combined to make the third round of the 2014 Australian Open, have been drawn to face fellow Australians Daria Gavrilova and Storm Sanders in the second match on Court 15.
