Peers gets Davis Cup call up ahead of Dubai semifinal
Olivia Rogowska has capped the perfect week by winning both the singles and doubles championships at the Launceston International.
Despite dropping the first set, Rogowska showed great resilience to recover in the second set and ultimately go on to take the match 5-7 6-4 6-0.
The world number 137 needed two service breaks to take the second set 6-4 after being broken on her own serve.
The third set was a much more easier task, taking victory in the decider without dropping a game as her opponent struggled with a lower back injury.
In the doubles final, Rogowska and compatriot Monique Adamczak had a much easier task – defeating Thailand’s Kamonwan Buayam and Slovakia’s Zuzanna Zlochcova in straight sets 6-2 6-4.
