At yet another career high ranking, Casey Dellacqua will face French qualifier Pauline Parmentier in the first round of the Cincinnati Open.
Ranked #30 in the WTA rankings, Dellacqua has enjoyed her most successful year on tour, making the Round of 16 at the Australian Open, falling to Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard, before making the Indian Wells quarter finals. She then also enjoyed a run to the semi finals of the AEGON Classic in Birmingham, defeating fellow Australian Sam Stosur along the way.
After a short break following Wimbledon, Dellacqua returned at the Coupe Rogers Cup in Montreal last week, going out to Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the second round.
The match against Parmentier will be the second encounter between the two, with Dellacqua holding a 2-0 record.
Also playing doubles in Cincinnati with Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni, the pair are set to take on Kimiko Date-Krumm and Andrea Hlavackova in the first round.
